MOISSANITE CENTERSTONE — LIFETIME WARRANTY
Every Moissanite centerstone greater than 0.5 ct sold by Luxe Gemmes comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty on stone rating. This means your Moissanite is covered for life against loss of brilliance, optical clouding, or changes in color.
Moissanite is one of the hardest gemstones on earth — 9.25 on the Mohs scale — and is virtually immune to the scratching, chipping, and clouding that can affect softer stones over time. Your Moissanite should look as stunning decades from now as the day it arrives. If it doesn't, we'll make it right.
What's covered:
- Loss of brilliance or fire
- Optical clouding or haziness
- Changes in color or stone rating
What's not covered:
- Surface scratching caused by impact or abrasion (extremely rare with Moissanite)
- Damage caused by intentional misuse
- Loss of the stone from the setting (see Craftsmanship Warranty below)
GOLD & PLATINUM SETTINGS — 12-MONTH WARRANTY
All solid gold and solid platinum jewelry comes with a 12-month manufacturing warranty covering the craftsmanship of the setting, band, and metalwork. This warranty covers defects in manufacturing quality — meaning if something goes wrong due to how the piece was made, we'll repair or replace it at no charge.
What's covered:
- Manufacturing defects in the setting, band, or metalwork
- Structural failure under normal wear conditions
- Defective prong work or stone mounting
What's not covered:
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, makeup, immersion in pools or hot tubs, or bathing
- Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear
- Loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or other impact
- Product loss or theft
- Damage caused by failure to obtain recommended maintenance or repairs
Important: Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than Luxe Gemmes will void the warranty. All fine jewelry is affected by normal wear, activities, and daily use — this is especially true for rings, since hands are subject to constant pressure. Our warranty covers how the piece was made, not the natural effects of wearing it.
WHAT QUALIFIES AS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT?
We hold every piece to the highest standard. A manufacturing defect means your jewelry arrived with an issue that occurred during production — not through normal wear. Examples include:
-
Wrong design or specifications — the piece doesn't match what you ordered (wrong stone shape, metal color, or ring size)
-
Improperly set stones — loose, crooked, or visibly misaligned stones
-
Visible craftsmanship flaws — large scratches, rough finishing, pitting, or other signs the piece was not delivered in new condition
-
Appearance differs from your order — the item looks materially different from the product listing and the options you selected
Normal characteristics of Moissanite and precious metals — such as slight variations in brilliance under different lighting or minor differences in gold tone between devices and in person — are not considered defects.
HOW TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM
If you believe your piece has a manufacturing defect or a warranty issue, here's how the process works:
1 Contact Us with Photos & Video
Email support@luxegemmes.com describing your concern. Include clear photos and a short video showing the issue. The more detail you provide, the faster we can help.
2 Our Team Evaluates Your Piece
Our quality team will review your photos and video to determine if the issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect or warranty claim. We'll get back to you promptly with our assessment.
3 We Present Your Options
If a defect or warranty issue is confirmed, we'll present your options: a full refund (within 30 days of delivery), a repair, a replacement, or an exchange for an item of equal or higher value. You choose what works best.
4 Ship Your Piece for Inspection (If Needed)
If physical inspection is required, a $50 evaluation deposit will be collected before shipment to cover shipping and expert evaluation by our jewelers. This deposit is refunded in full for all warrantied repairs, and we cover the cost of shipping your piece back to you. If the issue is not covered under warranty, we'll provide a repair quote for your approval — and the deposit will be applied toward the repair or return shipping.
OUR 30-DAY SATISFACTION PROMISE
Your satisfaction is our number one priority. We strive to provide you with an exceptional experience and the most beautiful fine jewelry that will last you a lifetime.
If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, you have 30 days from delivery to contact us. After our team confirms the defect, we'll offer you a full refund, repair, replacement, or exchange — whatever makes it right for you.
Because every piece is custom-made to your individual specifications, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. We encourage you to reach out before ordering if you have any questions about sizing, stone selection, or design — we'd love to help you get it perfect the first time. View our full return policy →
REPAIRS BEYOND WARRANTY
Life happens — and fine jewelry worn daily will eventually show signs of love. If your piece needs attention for something not covered under warranty (prong re-tipping, re-polishing, resizing, etc.), we're here to help.
Repairs not covered under the limited warranty will be quoted to you for approval before any work is performed. If you approve, your $50 evaluation deposit will be applied toward the repair cost. If you choose not to proceed, the deposit covers return shipping back to you.
PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT
Our warranty covers manufacturing quality, but we strongly recommend maintaining independent insurance coverage for your jewelry to protect against significant damage, loss, or theft — things no manufacturer warranty can cover.
We recommend Jewelers Mutual for comprehensive jewelry insurance. Policies are affordable and provide peace of mind for your most meaningful pieces.
KEEP YOUR PIECE BEAUTIFUL
A little care goes a long way. To keep your Luxe Gemmes jewelry looking its best and to preserve the integrity of your warranty:
- Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or using household chemicals
- Apply lotions, perfumes, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry
- Store pieces separately to prevent scratching
- Clean gently with warm water and mild soap — pat dry with a soft cloth
- Have prongs inspected periodically to ensure stones remain secure
